The Logo assignments were generally strong, with clear, well-organized procedures and one calling super-procedure. The most common error was the failure to write a super-procedure using Logo syntax. The HOUSE example on page 116 of Mindstorms is a good example of a Logo super procedure.
I am concerned that WebCT let us down, especially since we are just beginning to establish our course procedures and routines. I have used WebCT for several years and this is the first time I have experienced a major problem or a lengthy shutdown. I am hopeful that we will all recover from this interruption. I entered my Logo comments in the gradebook, rather than the assignment area, and I am not sure that students will be able to read the comments. We will figure out this part, however, and you will get your comments!

Hi All,
You should be able to see the comments about your assignments in the grading section at webct. Let us know if you cannot see the comments.

Having Web CT down over the weekend did throw off my routine. I try to do most of my CI 505 class "stuff" on the weekends. Since much of my time during the week is spent on my teaching, so it was rather confusing to not have that available until Sunday afternoon. (I did get some cleaning done on my house that I had been neglecting.) I will adjust, but it has made this week a hectic one. It's like going from a two car family to a one car family and making adjustments.
I feel working through a WebCt issue is not uncommon for a distance ed. course. This will only make our cohort stronger and able to find new ways to communicate! However, I did enjoy some time working in the yard.
I think with the way that webct was down last week just made me realize that I need to have the assignments and expectations written down somewhere for me to refernce in case I need during the week and this happens again. I guess we all have to love technology!
I'd agree with Kim. Having WebCt definitely made me realize I need a hard copy of everything! I think the class came through alright though. It didn't seem as though WebCt being down caused many problems.
